Real-world-asset tokenization stopped being a forecast and became a live balance sheet. And the ledger already clearing institutional settlements is Ripple's own.
Tokenized real-world assets on public chains (excluding stablecoins) grew from roughly $6 billion in early 2025 to over $31 billion in 2026. The tipping point is the current balance sheet — not a projection.
Ripple co-authored an April 2025 report projecting tokenized assets reaching $18.9 trillion by 2033 — from roughly $0.6 trillion today, a 53% compound growth rate. The forecaster's name is the same one on the infrastructure.
Ondo's OUSG tokenized U.S. Treasuries went live on the XRP Ledger in June 2025. In May 2026, Ondo, J.P. Morgan's Kinexys, Mastercard and Ripple settled the first cross-border, cross-bank redemption of a tokenized Treasury — the XRP Ledger cleared the asset leg in under five seconds.
The firm that co-authored the $18.9 trillion forecast is the same firm whose ledger is already clearing J.P. Morgan and Mastercard's tokenized-Treasury settlements. The forecaster and the infrastructure are one name.
The mint-and-redeem rail underneath it is RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, with XRP as the bridge asset. The wave they predicted is the one they're already moving money across.
